The coolest cake shot in the world! **

** subject to personal opinion..

This is perhaps my favourite ever wedding image of ‘the cake cut’.  I captured this at Bec & Simon’s wedding earlier this year, (click here for more pics), & didn’t blog it at the time because I couldn’t work out why I liked it.   Then I realized that the reason I like it so much is because I don’t know why I like it.. (if you know what I mean).  It’s very non-weddingy but at the same time so typical as a wedding image.  I love the ‘Madame Tussauds’ feel about their expressions – like Bec & Simon could be standing next to Kylie Minogue, immortalized in wax.

ummm..  what do you think?

jude hey gorgeous Todd. mmmm I see what you are saying, but no, not so much for me…it lacks the `warmth’ that characterizes so much of your work. love heaps :-)

Jono I can’t stop looking at it. It just doesn’t quite make sense. Although, if his shirt was the same pattern as the backdrop (garden state) it would be mega-awesome.

thm ps.. carpet + curtain + pose + post production gives a very hand-coloured black & white ‘technicolor’ feel from the 1960’s
