nicola & morgan.. New Zealand love..

As a photographer, starting a wedding in the dark is certainly not common.. but it is very refreshing.. A dawn ceremony  with a breakfast reception is what Nicola & Morgan ordered, & really that was just exactly the way they wanted it..  So, over to New Zealand we went to share their adventure..

Napier is known by many names.. “Art Deco Central”, “Place of a Thousand Apples”, “Awesomeville”, “SweetaZ-Killer-Views-From-the-Mountains-Town”, to name but a few.. so for N&M, the location for their wedding was a total no-brainer..

The sun still hadn’t risen as all the guests arrived at the church.. a little after 7am, as N&M were vowing their vows, the sun broke through the rainbow catch windows behind the alter.. it was supremo.. a lovely fresh gourmet brunch reception at the Old Church Restaurant & some photos, followed by a photographic adventure with us.. Nicola & Morgan (sorry we didn’t get to meet your super-dog), and their wedding was a-maz-ing..  (ps. dress by Wendy Makin = awesome)

and can I just say, i/we/Alyda & i are totally in love with New Zealand.. in fact, I am going to buy some of it.. i plan to purchase some of the awesome mountain biking trails & bring them back to Australia..  It’s a beautiful place indeed, i especially like the middle earth, & Neil Finn parts.. so ready yourselves NZ, because we’ll be back in a couple of weeks – speaking + workshopping up a frenzy at InFocus!
