fridays on foot.. (5 quiet minutes)

Well I have to be honest.  The last 10 days have been a bit of a struggle.  I was recently bedside with my Grandfather as he passed on & broke on through to the other side.  Very sad yes.  He was my favouritest of all.  But on Friday, in the middle of the haze, I was driving along worrying about all the work piling up, & saw something worth pulling over for.   I stopped the car & took a little walk out into an empty field.  5 quiet minutes.

Friday on foot.

Jono It’s truly a bittersweet time, bitter for the loss and sweet for the memories of what I’m sure was a full life. Soad and I are remembering you and Alyda, your family and your Grandfather here in Israel. The picture is breathtaking for both it’s aesthetics and it’s metaphor. Thank you for reminding me to savor these fleeting moments we have!

Danielle Robinson Todd, I’m so sorry to hear about your Grandfather. This image (as are all of your images) is perfect. A moment in time captured as an image of the other side breaking through, like your Grandfather has.
