ben & sisi.. wasabi warrior..

Recently** we shot a tea ceremony wedding from 7:30am to 7:30pm with no breaks – tough gig you might say, but there’s always an upside – & on this particular Saturday, I witnessed a husband to-be eat a whole mochi ball (about the size of a ping pong ball), full of wasabi..  This was the final task of about 10 that he needed to pass to earn the right to marry his beloved..  & y’know, Ben never hesitated – straight into it.. red-faced, sweating, eyes watering, coughing + choking, Ben led his boys fiercely into battle, & thus broke through the pain barrier to emerge victorious & receive the key to the front door (after also buying off the bridesmaids).. It was so great..

Such a great atmosphere at Sisi & Ben’s wedding.. I counted how many times I laughed on this Saturday.. 852 times – including 1 time I laughed so hard, I wasn’t making any noise..

Happiness is only real when it’s shared, and Sisi & Ben are the perfect example.. Thank you for giving us a ‘backstage pass’ for your mega party Sisi & Ben.. You guys are fully ace!

**[Although Sisi & Ben’s wedding was actually 8 months ago, i feel that the word ‘recently’ is not completely out of context.. Really, if you look at your life as a whole, 8 months out of – let’s say – 72 years of life, represents about 1% of that time.. So it’s not really a long time – & we could say, rather quite recent.. I’m a ‘big picture’ thinker, & just a little un-organized]
